Personal Support and Student Health
Physical and emotional health play an important role in the student experience, and while stress is a natural part of the university experience, a focus on health is the most effective way to manage stress. Family and Friends are encouraged to talk to their student about prioritizing their health needs. This includes adequate sleep, regular physical activity, nutritious food choices, and minimizing excessive alcohol or drug use.
BCA offers services, facilities, and staff who are happy to meet with students and help address their health needs. These services include:
- Personal Counselling (Counsellors)
- Disclaimer (Doctor, Psychiatrist, Nurse)
- Fitness Centre
- Mawi’omi Indigenous Student Centre
- Chaplaincy Centre (faith and worship, Food Bank)
- Mental Health Week
